Brute Ratel Vs. Brute Leo is the Killing Bites match between Uzaki Hitomi and Tani Yuugo. This was Hitomi's first Killing Bites.

Prologue

After killing a group of men who attempted to rape her in a van, Hitomi forces their driver, Nomoto Yuuya, to drive to the junkyard where she is suppose to have her duel with Tani Yuugo, Brute Leo. Before they could start their Killing Bites match, Hitomi offers Yuuya's organs for Yuugo to sell at a high price in exchange for ¥10,000,000 if she wins.

Battle

Brute Ratel defeats Brute Leo.

Brute Leo lands the first attack on Brute Ratel, after her arrogant statement about wanting to be given the alias Leo Killer (獣 (レ) 王 (オキ) 殺 (ラ) し (ー) , Reokirā^?) if she won, and throws a volley of punches with full confidence in his ability to win. However, Brute Ratel bites off two of his claws and is unaffected by his fearsome roar due to her immunity to feel fear. She then swiftly comes in to deliver her attack, Slash (蜜 (スラ) 獾 (ッシ) 斬 (ュ) , Surasshu^?, Literally meaning: Honey Slash), and finishes off Brute Leo.

Aftermath

Nomoto Yuuya's life is spared and offers to take Hitomi to his apartment to treat her wounds. Elsewhere, an audience watches the fight between the two Brutes as it was being recorded and are shocked by Brute Leo's defeat despite the odds. Among the spectators is Mitsukado Youzan, the chairman of Yatsubishi Zaibatsu, who becomes fascinated with Brute Ratel, the therianthrope created by Shidou Reiichi.

Later, news spread of Brute Leo's first ever loss in Killing Bites, earning Brute Ratel the rights to be called Leo Killer (獣 (レ) 王 (オキ) 殺 (ラ) し (ー) , Reokirā^?) amongst the Brutes. Having been an eye witness to the match, Yuuya is forced by Shidou to watch over Hitomi and become her investor until the next Killing Bites tournament.
