Jerome Hongou (ジェロム 本郷 Hongō Jeromu?) is a member of Mitsukado Zaibatsu and a former makushita-ranked sumo wrestler, renowned as the "Strongest Sumo Wrestler in Makushita".

Hongou is a tall, large muscular man with a stubble beard and shoulder length hair. He wears a simple robe with sandals.

Inhuman Strength: Even before he had underwent Theriomorphosis Surgery, Hongou had already possessed great strength that allowed him to perform one-hit blows to his opponents, which earned him the title the "Strongest Sumo Wrestler in Makushita". The lethality in Hongou's palms is enough to knock a man unconscious, along with making them bleed out from their mouths and have one eye pop out from the socket. The underlying reason behind this is due to Hongou bringing out the instincts of the animal within him, thereby making his hands lethal weapons.

- Enhanced Strength: Hongou's already inhuman arm strength is boosted to completely match that of a bear's, making him strong enough to knock over a tree.
- Enhanced Speed: Hongou's speed is enhanced to match to that of a bear's, being able to run at speeds of 60 km/hr.
- Claws: As a bear, Hongou gains claws that adds to the destructive power in his palm strikes.
Fighting Style[]
As a former sumo wrestler, Hongou's main style of fighting is harite, where he delivers open palm strikes around his opponent's face. With his incredible brute strength, all it takes for Hongou to defeat his opponents in a sumo match is with a single slap.
Techniques[]
- Bear Palm (
熊 掌 Beapāmu?): Hongou puts all of his strength into unleashing a palm strike that is powerful enough to finish off his opponent with one blow. He first used this technique to interrupt a fight between Hitomi and Eruza by knocking over a tree. The second time, Hongou used this technique in his match against Hitomi in the Killing Bites Destroyale, after going off Yuugo's advice to defeat her with a one-hit attack, but only managed to leave a scratch on her cheek after the Brute anticipated his attack.
Synopsis[]
3 years before joining Killing Bites, he was known as the strongest sumo wrestler in Makushita. He was stabbed by a fan of sumo wrestling that assumed he was a match fixer, and killed him with a slap. He learned that his hands had become lethal weapons and he retired due to a want of a place where he would be free to use his power. He underwent the Bestialization Operation to become the Bear Brute which increased the power of his already lethal palm attacks.
Hitomi manages to incapacitate him in less than a second with only a single move during the first round of the Killing Bites tournament.
